This doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t experience a benefit; it simply means that scientists don’t know if the benefit can be replicated in scientific studies.

The Camellia Sinensis (tea plant) is a green shrub, whose leaves, if not immediately dry after picking, quickly begin to oxidize. The leaves become progressively dark (oxidized) as the chlorophyll breaks down.

In black tea there is total oxidation (100%) of the leaves. This plant is extensively cultivated around the world, particularly in Sri Lanka, India, China, Japan, Taiwan, Kenya, Cameroon, Tanzania and Malawi. Black tea produced outside China usually takes the name of the region of origin: Darjeeling, Assam, Ceylon, Nilgiri, among others. In China, the most famous black tea is probably Keemun, but there are many other varieties.

In Portugal, this plant is cultivated in the Azores archipelago, especially on São Miguel Island.
